Assistance for eligible Vancouver residents facing a temporary rent or essential-utility crisis. The programme describes interest-free repayable loans, some one-time housing grants, and a $1 monthly loan administration fee; it is not an automatic free-rent benefit. Income, tenancy, age, ongoing ability to pay and other criteria apply, followed by document review and an interview. Funds approved for rent or utilities go to the landlord or utility provider. Own published limits and the displayed 2025 income table should be checked with a case manager for the present application; no approval or processing-time guarantee is made here.

Listings distinguish homes available, accepting applications, paused applications and equity co-ops; those labels do not guarantee a vacancy or subsidized rent. Each cooperative sets its application, membership, participation and financial requirements. Check the particular listing and current address: the directory, for example, flags a Vancouver cooperative’s move while its old site is redeveloped. Consolidated federal service and passport office opened at Granville Street in March 2026 after both Sinclair Centre offices permanently closed. It offers SIN and benefits-related services as well as standard, express and urgent Canadian passport options subject to eligibility, evidence, deadlines and applicable fees. A Canadian passport service is not a substitute for foreign-passport or immigration-permit processing. Interpretation and accessibility supports depend on availability. The location page provides programme telephone lines rather than a dedicated local office number; use the line matching the actual question.

Completed forms may be submitted through suitable Service BC counters or by mail to Vital Statistics in Victoria. These forms concern B.C. vital events, not universal access to every Canadian provincial record. Urgent or delayed requests can be discussed on 1-888-876-1633.

Federal guide to applying for, finding, protecting and updating a Social Insurance Number. The current page distinguishes temporary residents, whose SIN generally starts with 9 and expires with their immigration documents, from citizens and permanent residents with a non-expiring SIN. Authorization to work must come from the applicable status or permit; possession of a number alone does not create work permission. Service Canada no longer issues plastic SIN cards and offers confirmation in paper or digital form. Use the current status-specific instructions and protect the number from unnecessary disclosure.

It describes available sign-in options, multi-factor authentication, identity verification and recovery help. A newcomer’s access depends on registration and verification requirements; a bank login alone does not automatically create an eligible tax account. Representatives must use the authorized representative route rather than another person’s credentials. Tax filing, benefit eligibility and immigration status are separate matters. This listing reads the public guidance only and does not test sign-in or handle personal tax information.
